    Registration for the 2024-25 school year is open! To register for the 2024-25 school year: Children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2024 and manage toileting independently. Please note: The dates listed on each class of July 2024 to June 2025 are place holders only. Classes begin in September 2024 and end in May 2025. Half-day classes: 2, 3 or 5 days per week All-day classes: 2, 3 or 5 days per week We embrace a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to education encouraging exploration, discovery and critical thinking. We use Creative Curriculum which is researched based and aligned with the Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress, Minnesota's Early Learning Standards. Our program is founded on the belief that all children have great potential, are curious, and are interested in constructing their learning. Activities are exciting, creative, and developmentally appropriate. To encourage children's growth and learning, we focus on project-based and inquiry-based learning, and authentic art experiences. Bus transportation within the district to and from school is an option. Tuition assistance available for those who qualify. Pathway I and II Scholarship eligible. Teachers are licensed and assistants are experienced working with young children. We are 4-Star Parent Aware rated! We are located in the Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School with K-4th grades, Early Childhood Special Education, and Galaxy Kids School Age Care.

    Join Rockford Soccer Coach Dave Montgomery for five 1 hour one on one soccer training that will for sure enhance your soccer skills for the fall season!! Coach Montgomery is a seasoned coach and holds several coaching licenses. He is a team leader, trainer, mentor, and motivator with 16 years of soccer coaching experience for Varsity/JV High School soccer, summer competitive and recreational leagues. He is focused on developing teams and players for both the short term and long term as players, team members, all while teaching players the importance of hard work and sportsmanship

  • 3D Printing: Jewelry Fabrication & Arts

    Bring your creations to life in this 3D printing class. The ancient craft of jewelry making is brought to the modern world using TinkerCad and 3D printers. Students will learn to build 2D and 3D models on the computer using CAD software. They will design and print a pair of earrings, or a pendant in this class. If printing is not completed in class, prints will be mailed home. Please bring lunch and a drink.
  • 7th-9th summer weight/conditioning program

    This weightlifting and conditioning program is designed for Fall 24 grades 7-9. Come to the RCC Rocket Power Center 4 days a week to train your muscles, quickness, brain, and attitude for excellence in your sport! Monday-Thursday 12:15-1:45pm June 17th-July 31st (no lifting the week of July 1st)

  • Almost Ready for Preschool (30-54 months)

    Ages 30-54 months: This class is the perfect combination of ECFE and a preschool experience. One morning a week (Wednesdays) you’ll spend time with your child in the Early Childhood classroom before parent/caregivers leave the classroom for discussion with the Parent Educator. During the parenting time you’ll talk about school readiness, parenting, friends, discipline, etc. while your child plays and learns in a classroom of peers and is led by an Early Childhood Teacher. The second day of class (Fridays) is just for the kids! You’ll drop your child off in the Early Childhood room and pick them up at 10:15 am for a brief together time and good-byes. What a great way to practice separating from adults and navigating a room of new friends.
  • Baby 'N Me

    Ages: Newborn – 16 months: You’ve likely read some things and heard all kinds of advice, but nobody else has ever parented your child. In our infant classes you’ll spend time connecting with other parents going through many of the same things. We’ll talk about infant development, eating, sleeping, parent/child attachment, self-care and other topics unique to you and your infant. Whether this is your first or your fifth, you’ll find yourself amongst friends. (Please inquire if the “sessions” listed do not completely coincide with your maternity leave. You are welcome to join class around your maternity leave and as space allows.) Non-Separating - you and your infant stay together for the entire class
  • Band Lessons

    Middle and High School age band lessons for woodwinds and brass for grades 6-12! Choose from 4, 8 or 16 lessons at 25 minutes each lesson. (please note that the fewer lessons you choose or if you choose the payment plan, the price will be slightly higher due to processing fees) Lessons will be offered Monday-Thursday: Sign up for your lessons and then our instructor will contact you to set up times.
  • Beginner 1 Gymnastics

    (K- Age 9) Must have passed Shining Stars OR Age 6 AND first beginner class. This is a 1 hour class designed for gymnasts at the beginner skill level. This class is great for students who are new to the sport, as well as kids who have some gymnastics experience and need to improve their basic skills. A solid gymnastics foundation is built with skills like cartwheels, handstands and rolls. The gymnasts will be introduced to each apparatus and all of the equipment in the gym.
  • Beginner 2 Gymnastics

    (Kindergarten-age 10) This is a 1 hour class designed for gymnasts that are beyond the beginners 1 class, but not quite ready for intermediate. These gymnasts must have completed beginners 1 and mastered the skills in beginner 1 OR have been evaluated, before choosing this class.
  • Boys Basketball Camp

    Come join the Rockford Boys Basketball coaches and players to share their secrets to success in the basketball camp for grades 3-10 (Fall 2024 Grade). Awards, t-shirts, and prizes included. Camp will be split into 2 groups divided by ages and will stress fundamentals of basketball. Please make sure to sign up at least 3 days before in order to receive a t-shirt.

    Classroom Drivers Ed

    This 30 hour classroom drivers education class will prepare students for the instructional permit test and fulfills the 30 hours required by the state of MN. This class is the 30 hours of classroom only, not the additional hours of driving time (Behind the Wheel). Behind the wheel lessons will have to be completed through a different company and is a separate fee. Please note that in order to get a blue card, you must be signed up with a behind the wheel company. Your chosen company will supply the blue card. You will only get a letter of certification at the end of this class.

  • ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education)

    ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) is offered through Minnesota public school districts. Together, parents and children, newborn to kindergarten age, participate in activities and experiences that foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language skills. All ECFE classes are taught by licensed teachers and parent educators to provide the quality education for which parents are looking. A typical ECFE Class includes: Together Time: Parent and child together enjoy a classroom filled with developmentally appropriate learning activities. Parents’ Time:Parents separate from their children and join together for a discussion group facilitated by a Parent Educator. Children’s Time: While parents are in discussion, children participate in activities facilitated by an Early Childhood Teacher. ECFE also offers non-separating classes in which parents remain with the children the entire class time.
  • Extreme Robotics: Bionic Beasts

    Students will program robots to move, act and think on their own. Discover the excitement of programming your creation to follow a command and watch it go. Our classes are fun, educational, and hands-on, teaching students the foundations of building and programming concepts. Students working in teams will then be challenged to morph their projects into better, stronger, or faster robots. Please bring lunch and a drink.
  • FUN to 5K!

    No matter what sport your young athlete loves to play, it likely involves running; and running coaches Jeff Dickman (Head Coach Rockford Cross Country and Distance Track Coach) and Colleen Prudhomme (Certified Running Coach, Certified Speed and Agility Coach, Certified Personal Trainer) are super excited to share the fun of running with your 4th - 7th grader! Fun to 5K is the perfect way to help your young athlete gain endurance while having fun along the way. Coaches Jeff and Colleen have created workouts that will help your young athlete learn how to train for a long effort such as a 5K. This training also will help your athlete stay stronger for longer in any game they play, whether it be gaining incredible stamina in ice hockey, flying fast on the field in soccer, battling harder for the ball in basketball, or, of course, cruising speedy-like on the cross country course. Of course, we also will sneak in some cool knowledge like what good running form looks like, what kind of muscles are needed to run, how muscles act like energy-producing factories every time we breath, what kind of snacks help lead to speedy success, and, of course, we can’t forget about the importance of relaxing for recovery! (Cost to enter the Hanover Harvest Festival is additional) Snacks, Race tank, and training plan included in this awesome new program!!

Galaxy Kids offers choice-based programming, offering opportunities in the areas of art and drama, music, sports, science, math, engineering and technology, language arts/literacy, mentoring and community services, homework assistance, and self-guided activities. Children are encouraged to pursue and share their interests through youth led activities, develop confidence and independence, make new friends, and of course, have fun! Galaxy Kids Program works in cooperation with families, school staff, and our community to provide additional learning and social opportunities that enhances each child’s educational experience. Galaxy Kids is certified through the Department of Human Services.
