    Our popular Adult Tappy Hour returns! We start off easy with basic steps then ramp up into combinations. Open to all skill levels – join us for tapping fun! Works balance, coordination and rhythm. Develop musicality putting tap steps to music. Emphasis on quality sounds and technique for solid tap foundation. Broadway style tap infused with rhythm technique. This class performs in our recital at the end of the season! Dance or athletic attire. Oxford type tap shoe preferred, black or tan.     Dealing with your own mental health challenges or those of a friend? MN ranks 4 th in most depressed in the nation and 25% of Minnesotans live with mental illness. Join a supportive conversation about living with mental illness. A welcoming laid back place to share what is working and not with encouragement and resources for all. We’ll cover a topic for 20 minutes then have open discussion for 40 minutes. All are welcome. Facilitated by Gale Reitan who has a passion for mental health and a master’s degree in counseling. Each of the 4 nights will have a different topic. Sign up for one or all 4! These classes are FREE, but we want to gauge interest by having you register. A one-time fee allows you to come play pick-up style games with other pickleball enthusiasts! Choose from one or two nights a week! (We do have a few paddles that you can borrow if needed. ) This year we will have two different groups so that you can play against others at the approximately the same level. Please note that there will be some Wednesdays or Fridays that we will need to cancel and/or change the time due to school events/rentals. You can’t beat our price of only $2hr to play this fun sport!) Register for either: Beginner/Novice or Intermediate/advanced levels.

    Women's Indoor Volleyball

    Indoor women's volleyball from Oct. -March with Tow Levels of Play! (GOLD: Highest level of play. Players are highly skilled, proficient, and have great knowledge of the game and strategy. Players are above average with significant experience serving, passing, blocking. SILVER: Many players have average to above average ability. Teams consistently implement, with success, the basic skills of serving, passing, and blocking. Teams play five games per match and matches are held in the Rockford Community Center or the High School gyms. Sunday evenings with games starting at 5pm and/or 7pm. This is an adult league, therefore, the minimum age to play is 18. Rosters are due by the first game and should be filled with all subs by Dec. 1st. Please note that at this point, we are just signing up to create teams. The cost is $225 per team and full payment must be made by Jan. 1st to finish the season and compete in play-offs.

The morning workshop will consist of creating 3 different fresh fir creations just in time for the holiday season! Make and Take : Wreath (14" grapevine wreath with fresh evergreens), Potpourri (1 for yourself and 1 to gift!), Swag (a holiday swag with festive embellishments).

  • Holiday Expo

    Join us for the 18th Annual Holiday Expo being held at the Rockford Community Center on Saturday, December 6th, 2024 from 9am-5pm. There will be a basketball tournament again to help bring in customers. FYI*** We will be on the route this year for Crow River Christmas on Dec. 6th The Holiday Expo is an event allowing you to exhibit your goods and services, encouraging purchases for the holiday season. There are a number of events scheduled in and around the Rockford Community Center for the weekend, so there will be high traffic for the Expo. Tables will be placed in the wrestling room or meeting rooms (depending on vendors) at the Rockford Community Center. Please note that we will provide one 8 ft table and up to 3 chairs per registration. You must provide the tablecloth, skirting, etc for your the table. Due to space restrictions, if you need more space than one table, you will have to register twice for two tables. We encourage you to advertise the event to your client base. We will advertise the Holiday Expo on the school website, on the marquee sign in front of the High School, in weekly parent emails, on the Rockford Community Education Facebook page, and other social media and papers. Rockford Community Education is excited to again host the Expo. We would appreciate you passing this information on to other businesses that may be interested in being a vendor for the Expo as well.
