    Whether you need to make a dull work presentation more lively, mix laughter with learning in the classroom, or ultimately want to write for print/production or perform your own stand up routine, this fast-paced session will show you how to apply humor to all aspects of your life. You will learn the anatomy a joke, how to use your powers of observation to sharpen your wit, write different types of jokes, and use humor to entertain and influence people. Informative handouts for future use are included in class fee. The instructor LeeAnne Krusemark is a former stand-up comedian at places like The Laugh Factory in Hollywood, current author and editor, and a nationwide Professor of Publishing at higher learning institutions, including Harvard Adult Education.     Your wedding day is nearing, and you don’t know how to dance. Not to worry! In this single 2 hour lesson, you and your partner will be taught everything you need to know to make your first dance much more interesting than shifting awkwardly from side to side. Learn an easy entrance, classic steps, simple sways, fancy twirls, and a romantic dip! Then capture it on your camera to continue practicing up until wedding day.     Join us for conversation, snacks, and support in a welcoming space! Each session includes a 30-minute topic discussion followed by a 40-minute open conversation. Facilitated by Gale Reitan, MA in Counseling, we provide resources, encouragement, and a judgment-free environment. Free to attend - please register to help us plan for food! May 13th: Everything is flowering and blooming. As one of the five senses, smell is keenly tied to pain relief, peace, and moods. Also, we spend some moments on allergies from food to pollen that affect mental health June 10th: Nature is a natural healer for all of us and it is free. We’ll meet in the classroom, have a chat and then head out for a walk. Please wear shoes that you can walk in. If it is raining, bring an umbrella. July 8th: : Boom Bang and Independence Day can all be triggers if you are dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Come and learn more about this reality. August 12: Dog Days of Summer – does the heat and humidity have anything to do with mental health? We’ll be learning what barometric pressures, temperatures, and humidity have to do with our mental health. September 9: Beginnings Are Hard – come and share your helpful hints and learn from others about how to handle when your schedule changes. Change is not easy for anyone and a mental health challenge adds another level.
